Dr Roger Alexander

Dr Alexander has an extensive portfolio and record of success in teaching, domestic and international course development, academic leadership, and business management in both the private and public education sectors. He taught and conducted research at universities in Australia and the UK over many years being appointed a Professor of Product Innovation at Western Sydney University before serving as Dean of the Faculty of Business & Technology. He led the Faculty as Dean for over 10 years with full academic and executive management responsibility for a large and diverse faculty recruiting substantial numbers of international students. As Dean Dr Alexander led the development of the faculty and numerous new programs as the University of Western Sydney became established as a mature comprehensive research university. He established new research centres and developed research degrees in the Faculty and established several successful trans-national collaborative degree programs in SE Asia.
He served as the Executive Director of the University of New South Wales Foundation Studies Division for over six years. Under his leadership the Division established innovative new programs to meet identified international market need, established collaborative transnational programs in New Zealand, Malaysia and Indonesia and initiated partnerships leading to new collaborative programs in China and Singapore.
Dr Alexander led the establishment of the UNSW Asia Foundation Studies in Singapore and served as inaugural CEO and Director. He was a founding partner of Study Tracks Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia established to provide leadership development services to the Malaysian education system.
Dr Alexander joined the International College of Management, Sydney (a leading Higher Education Provider specialising in applied higher education in the management sector) as Executive Dean in 2007 and in January 2012 was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Strategic Development). He led the strategic and academic development of the College for over eight years.
In 2015 Dr Alexander founded Far Sight Consulting Pty Ltd which provides consulting services to international education in Australia and internationally.
