Prof Geoff Morris
Geoff Morris was appointed as Dean and Director of Learning and Teaching in March 2020. Before his appointment, Geoff has had an extensive career in both academia and the business world.
Geoff became the Dean of Business at the University of Notre Dame, Australia, in 2010. For the next nine years, he led the expansion of the school from an undergraduate focus to include postgraduate and doctoral studies across the business disciplines of accounting, management, market, public relations, and human resources management. In his time at Notre Dame, his focus was on academic integrity, student outcomes, and academic standards. As a result, Notre Dame became recognised through the Federal Government QILT assessments has one of the nations leading business schools.
Geoff’s managerial and leadership career has included executive positions in public utilities and private companies for more than 30 years. Immediately before entering academia, Geoff was a director of World Youth Day, Sydney 2008, and Project Manager for the Building the Education Revolution for the Archdiocese of Sydney. His leadership roles have included senior executive positions in large organisations including TAB, Sydney Water, and Australian Water Technologies, which involved working periods in the Philippines and the United Kingdom.
Outside work, Geoff is heavily involved with his family and community.
