Dr Mohammed Al-Zobbi has over 25 years of experience in both academic and industry settings. Worked as an Infrastructure Engineer and Cybersecurity Specialist across data centers, government departments, and enterprise environments in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Oman, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Led enterprise-level projects for organizations including JPMorgan, Western Sydney University, the Yasser E-Government System for the Saudi Arabian Government, and EMR improvements for the Australian Health Department. My research interests include Big Data, Blockchain Systems, and Cybersecurity. Additionally, Dr Al-Zobbi have experience collaborating with TEQSA, ACS, and AQF in the development of academic programs, including MIT and BIT degrees.

MProjMgmt, MBA, MEng, PMI Certifications (PMP, PgMP, RMP, ACP, PBA)

Mr Rami Rifai is a Lecturer in Project Management at APIC. He brings more than 20 years of professional experience in the ICT and telecommunications sector, having held senior project management and technical leadership roles with global organisations such as Ericsson, British Telecom (Al-Saudia), MTN Group, and NorConsult Telematics. His industry background includes delivering large-scale telecommunications and technology projects, managing multi-vendor environments, and leading cross-functional technical teams.

Alongside his industry career, Mr Rifai has also gained teaching experience in higher education, delivering postgraduate and undergraduate courses in project management. His teaching approach focuses on linking project management theory with practical industry applications, often using real-world examples and case discussions to help students understand how project management concepts are applied in practice.

Mr Rifai holds three master’s degrees: a Master of Project Management from the University of New South Wales (Excellence Grade), a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wales, and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering. He is a certified project management professional and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and holds several internationally recognised certifications including PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Professional Scrum Master, and ITIL.

Mr Rifai combines his academic and industry experience to support students in developing practical skills and confidence in managing real-world projects.

Mr Somesh Gulati is a Sessional Lecturer at Asia Pacific International College (APIC) and a Learning & Teaching Support Advisor at the Education Centre of Australia. He has over 3.5 years of tertiary teaching experience in Computer Science and IT and previously worked as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Applications, gaining extensive experience in curriculum development, teaching, and student supervision.

Mr Gulati holds MIT, MCA, and MSc degrees in Computer Science, with specializations in Enterprise Networks, Applications, and Software, as well as a BSc in Computer Science and Electronics. He achieved the Dean’s Merit List for outstanding academic performance during his MIT.

Mr Gulati has published research in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and AI in education, including contributions to Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science and other peer-reviewed journals. His teaching philosophy emphasises inclusive, student-centred learning, applied problem-solving, and aligning assessments with graduate outcomes.

MBA

Mr Lasantha Abeywickrama (Lasa Abey) is a university learning facilitator and business/marketing specialist with over seven years’ experience teaching across undergraduate and MBA programs in Australia and overseas, both online and face-to-face. He teaches subjects including Consumer Behaviour, Integrated Marketing Communications, B2B Marketing, International Marketing, Strategic Management, Marketing Research, and Leadership & Influence, and is known for blending strong academic foundations with practical, real-world application. Before moving into higher education, Mr Abeywickrama built a 30+ year career in senior corporate leadership and management consulting—serving as CEO of Procter & Gamble Sri Lanka, holding brand leadership roles in Australia, and leading more than 100 consulting projects across 10+ countries through his own management consultancy, with work that included developing and mentoring leaders in organisations such as Unilever, Nestlé, and Toyota. Mr Abeywickrama holds an MBA (Marketing & Management) from The American University (USA), a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (Teaching & Learning) from Deakin University, and further vocational credentials in training, assessment, and leadership, bringing a contemporary, student-centred approach that supports diverse cohorts, including international and second-language learners.

PhD (Policy & Planning Sciences – Risk Engineering)

Dr Md Faiz Shah is an experienced academic with more than fifteen years of international teaching, research, and supervision experience across Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Bangladesh. He specialises in project management, risk and resilience, applied research, and higher education leadership. He completed his PhD in Policy and Planning Sciences (Risk Engineering) at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, under the prestigious Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship, followed by postdoctoral research in disaster and emergency management.

Dr Shah teaches postgraduate and undergraduate courses in project management, research methodology, applied research, and MBA units at APIC, and supervises Master of Research students at HELI. His research focuses on disaster risk reduction, seismic vulnerability, risk communication, and community resilience, with a strong record of peer‑reviewed publications, competitive grants, and international conference presentations. He has collaborated with government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners on emergency preparedness and resilience initiatives.

Dr Shah is committed to student‑centred learning, academic integrity, and innovative curriculum design, and brings a strong industry‑engaged perspective to his teaching and supervision.

PhD, Electrical and Computer Engineering

Dr Ahmed Freidoon Fadhil is a university lecturer and researcher specialising in data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, computer networks, and information technology. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Southern Illinois University (USA). Dr Fadhil currently teaches information technology and computing courses at Asia Pacific International College (APIC) and has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Australia and internationally. His teaching areas include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, database systems, programming, computer networks, and data analytics. Dr Fadhil has published research in international journals and conferences and holds a U.S. patent related to document image processing and machine learning applications. His research interests include machine learning, cybersecurity, computer vision, data analytics, and intelligent systems.

PhD researcher in Cybersecurity at QUT, Master in Cybersecurity

Mr Aiman Al-Sabaawi is a PhD researcher in Cybersecurity at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. His doctoral journey is supported by the QUT Tuition Fee Sponsorship and the prestigious QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA) Scholarship. In 2018, he earned a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity from QUT, building on earlier academic achievements, including a High Diploma in Data Security from the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) in 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Mustansiriyah University in 2001, both in Baghdad, Iraq.

In 2025, Mr Al-Sabaawi was awarded Associate Fellowship (Indigenous Knowledges) of Advance HE (AFHEA) in recognition of his attainment against the Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.

Currently, Mr Al-Sabaawi works as a Principal Cyber Security Advisor at SECBLOK (since 2024), a Sessional Academic at Queensland University of Technology (since 2023), and a Lecturer at Asia Pacific International College (APIC) in Brisbane (since 2024). From 2004 to 2014, he served as a Sessional Academic and Senior Programmer at Al-Nahrain University and Baghdad University in Baghdad, Iraq.

Over the years, Mr Al-Sabaawihas published multiple articles in top-tier Q1-ranked academic journals, reflecting his commitment to impactful and high-quality research.

Mr Al-Sabaawi is an active member of several professional organisations, including IEEE (since 2017), the Australian Computer Society (ACS), the Australian Information Security Association (AISA), the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), and the Australian Mathematical Society (AustMS). In 2023, he joined the QUT Centre for Data Science, further strengthening his commitment to advancing research in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data science.

Ph.D. (Comp. Sc.), M.Sc. (Elec. Eng.), B.Sc. (Comp. Sc. Eng.)

Dr. Mohammad Zavid Parvez is an academic and researcher specialising in AI, Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, and Biomedical Signal and Image Analysis. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from Charles Sturt University in 2016, focusing on epileptic seizure detection and prediction using advanced EEG signal analysis. He also holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering (Signal Processing) from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Dr. Parvez has taught across several higher education institutions, including Asia Pacific International College, Torrens University, RMIT University, Australian Catholic University, and previously served as Assistant Professor at BRAC University-Dhaka. His teaching areas span AI, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Research Methodology.

He has held research positions at Charles Sturt University and the Institute for Scientific Interchange (EU Horizon 2020 project). His research interests include federated learning, privacy-preserving AI, incremental learning with concept drift, medical imaging analytics, and cyber threat intelligence. He has published in leading journals such as IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering, Neurocomputing, and Computers & Security.

PhD in Business / Finance / Economics

Dr Tariq Maqableh is a Lecturer in Business, Finance, and Economics with extensive experience in higher education teaching, research, and academic coordination. He holds a PhD in Business from Western Sydney University, where he also completed a Master of Honours. He also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration.

Dr Maqableh has taught across several Australian higher education institutions, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in economics, statistics, finance, business strategy, and management. Throughout his teaching career, he has been actively involved in curriculum delivery, student mentoring, assessment design, and supporting diverse cohorts of domestic and international students. His teaching philosophy focuses on bridging academic theory with real-world business practice, encouraging students to develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills that are relevant to contemporary organizational environments.

His research interests focus on intellectual capital, financial technology (FinTech), digital transformation, knowledge management, and organizational performance. He is particularly interested in the impact of emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based systems on business strategy and organizational innovation. Dr Maqableh has published research in international peer-reviewed academic journals and continues to contribute to scholarly discussions in the fields of business and management.

In addition to teaching and research, Dr Maqableh actively contributes to the academic community through research supervision, academic collaboration, and participation in scholarly activities. He is committed to maintaining high standards in higher education through research-informed teaching, student engagement, and continuous academic development.

MIT – UC

Mr Tarek Elwan is an Information Technology Lecturer at Victoria University. Within 20 years of his teaching experience, Mr Elwan has built outstanding teaching experience within three different education systems through carrying teaching and unit coordinating positions in senior HS, VET, IT Technical Institutes, Colleges in addition to wide range of universities within Australia , China and Sri Lanka.

Likewise, working experience, his education was from three different countries Egypt, USA and Australia. Mr Elwan has a master’s (M.S) in Information Technology, double degree in Science and Education, in addition to several diplomas and advance diplomas in computer programming, web development, networking, advance networking, Network security. As well, he has varied technical industrial certificates such as CCNA, CCNAS, CCNP, VCP, A+, Security + and Ethical Hacker.

Mr Elwan also has more than 6 years of industrial experience as computer programmer (C++) and network Administrator.

His teaching areas of expertise are: Advance networking, network security, routing, switching, VPN, Wireless Networking, Cyber security, Hacking, virtualization and windows servers.

As an Educator and lead lecturer, his focus is providing learners with opportunities to enhance and strength their knowledge and skills.

PhD – Business Management (Information Technology, Supply Chain & Operations Management)

Dr Roberto Poles is currently the Head of Product and Project Manager for a Software Development Australian company. He has a track record and proven ability to design process and information system improvements in order to increase productivity/efficiency and reduce costs. He is also a business consultant with a proven ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities.

The successful completion of his PhD research in business information technology and logistics also provided him the opportunity to work on other two other projects involving Fuji Xerox Australia and CEVA Logistics. For these two projects, he developed business process simulation models and optimization procedures to investigate effective control strategies regarding operational activities.

Teaching skills include supply chain and procurement strategies, information systems integration, operations management and project management.

PhD in Engineering

Dr Jafar Hamra is a teacher, researcher, and industry practitioner with extensive experience across project management, information technology, cybersecurity, and engineering education. He holds a PhD in Engineering (Project Management & Complex Systems) from the University of Sydney and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®). His research expertise includes social network analysis, complex systems, emergency management, and digital safety, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact international journals such as Education and Information Technologies, Fire Safety Journal, and Knowledge-Based Systems. He has presented his work at international conferences across the USA and Europe.

Dr Hamra has taught and coordinated undergraduate and postgraduate subjects at numerous Australian and international institutions, including the University of Sydney, UNSW, Swinburne University, UTS, Western Sydney University, University of Tasmania, Kaplan Business School, and others. He has developed and reviewed many project management and IT units, supervised postgraduate research students, and received multiple teaching excellence awards. His industry experience includes serving as Project Manager in the manufacturing sector, successfully delivering large-scale projects within time and budget and securing significant government contracts. He maintains strong industry links through professional training delivery, PMI membership, and consultancy engagements in Australia and the Middle East.

His teaching philosophy integrates academic rigour, industry relevance, and student-centred learning, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, systems thinking, and practical application of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, and PRINCE2.

Puneet Bansal’s paper titled Emission Control and Sustainability: Evaluating Bharat Stage – 6 (BS6) Technology in Indian Automotive Industry has been accepted for presentation at the International Conference on Mechanical and Automobile Engineering (ICMAPE-25) to be held in November 2025 in India. Puneet is an APIC MPMB student and with guidance from Dr Parvesh Saini, has undertaken this research work as part of their PRJ6001 Applied Project.

Maryam Malik, APIC MPMB student, will present her PRJ6001 Applied Project research at the World Conference on Smart Trends in Systems, Security & Sustainability in August 2025. Her presentation is titled “Inflation and Housing Affordability in Australia: The Role of Policy Uncertainty and Urbanisation”. Maryam has been supported and guided by APIC lecturer, Dr Parvesh Saini.

Mujahid Ali Khan, APIC MPMB student, has published a research paper titled “Internet of Things (IoT) Enabled Sustainable Energy Management (SEM) for SMEs – A Review”. This research work was undertaken by Mujahid as part of their PRJ6001 Applied Project unit. Mujahid has been supported and guided by APIC lecturer, Dr Parvesh Saini.

Somesh Guljari Lal, an APIC MIT student, co-authored a research paper titled “Enhancing Autonomous Vehicles Security: A Survey on GAT, Neural Networks, and Reinforcement Learning in AI-Driven Defense.”  The collaborative work was produced with two fellow APIC MIT students and APIC lecturer Dr Mahmood Bekhit.

Somesh has co-authored a second paper along with two other MIT students titled “Enhancing VR Education through AI-Driven Emotional Adaptation: A Survey on Emotion-Centric VFX and Adaptive Learning Environments”. Similar to Somesh’s first publication, this paper was co-authored by Dr Bekhit. The book of proceedings was edited by APIC academic, Associate Professor Abeer Alsadoon.

Sobia Kousar, an APIC MIT student, co-authored a research paper titled “Enhancing Autonomous Vehicles Security: A Survey on GAT, Neural Networks, and Reinforcement Learning in AI-Driven Defense.”  The collaborative work was produced with two fellow APIC MIT students and APIC lecturer Dr Mahmood Bekhit.

Sobia has co-authored a second paper along with two other MIT students titled “Enhancing VR Education through AI-Driven Emotional Adaptation: A Survey on Emotion-Centric VFX and Adaptive Learning Environments”. Mukta Dinesh Kumar, an APIC MIT student, co-authored a research paper titled “Enhancing Autonomous Vehicles Security: A Survey on GAT, Neural Networks, and Reinforcement Learning in AI-Driven Defense.”  The collaborative work was produced with two fellow APIC MIT students and APIC lecturer Dr Mahmood Bekhit.

Under the guidance of Associate Professor Alsadoon (APIC academic) who served as the conference Program Chair, Mukta presented the above paper at the International Conference on Advances in Computing Research in July 2025.

Mukta has co-authored a second paper along with two other MIT students titled “Enhancing VR Education through AI-Driven Emotional Adaptation: A Survey on Emotion-Centric VFX and Adaptive Learning Environments”. Similar to Mukta’s first publication, this paper was co-authored by Dr Bekhit. The book of proceedings was edited by A/Prof Alsadoon.

Sudeep Rimal, APIC Bachelor of Information Technology student, won first place in a category of the GovHack 2023 Competition. GovHack is an annual open government data competition held all over Australia and New Zealand. Participants use open government data and make it more useful and engaging with the aim of demonstrating innovation and creativity. Sudeep won the Generative AI category for the project titled ‘influenzAI: Using AI to provide convenient, private, trustworthy access to Long COVID & Influenza information from open, reputable government data’.

Vasantha Kumaar Vijayabanu Babu, APIC MPBM student, presented his research project, Integrating Building Information Modelling (Bim) In Construction Projects: A Study To Increase The Efficiency Of Construction Projects at the Information and Communication Technology for Intelligent Systems (ICTIS) conference in April 2025 in Bangkok (Vasantha will present online). Vasantha developed this project in PRJ6001 Applied Project in Trimester 3 2024.

Faith Dizon, APIC MBA student, presented her research project, Prominence of Youth Entrepreneurship in the Philippines in the Post-Pandemic Era at the International Conference on Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Business Management (ICLEBM) in March 2025 in Philippines (Faith presented online). Faith developed this project in PRJ6001 Applied Project in Trimester 2 2024.

Adwin Chand, APIC MBA student, presented his research project, Adapting Food Supply Chains to COVID” 19: A Study on Supermarket Resilience in Australia and Fiji at the International Conference on Business Performance and Supply Chain Modelling in February 2025 in Melbourne. Adwin developed this project in PRJ6001 Applied Project in Trimester 2 2024.

Kubir Bhattarai, APIC MPMB student, presented his research project, Enhancing Food Safety in E-Commerce: Implementing Automated Regulatory Control Mechanisms in Bhutan” at the Australia-Bhutan Research Conference 2024 in December 2024. Kiran Pokhrel, APIC MPMB student, presented his research project, Optimization of Hydropower Development Strategies in Nepal’s River Basins – A Study at the Annual Congress on Soil and Water Conservation (ACSWC-2025) Conference in May 2025 in Nepal (Kiran will present online). Kiran developed this project in PRJ6001 Applied Project in Trimester 2 2024.

Abdul Jaleel, APIC MIT student, co-authored a research paper titled “Hybrid Approach to Automated Essay Scoring: Integrating Deep Learning Embeddings with Handcrafted Linguistic Features for Improved Accuracy.” Abdul completed his course in Trimester 2, 2024 and published the paper under APIC’s affiliation.

Rosselle Dullan-Wenceslao, APIC MPMB student, presented at the HEPP-QN National Student Forum in October 2024. Her presentation, titled “Finding Opportunities, Changing Perspectives: Sustainability education in a Project Management program”, received the Best Presentation Award during the closing plenary. Rosselle was nominated and supported by her lecturer, Dr Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman.

Rosselle Dullan-Wenceslao, APIC MPMB student, and her supervisor, Dr M.Ashiqur Rahman presented her research project, Assessing the Impact of Integrated Building Management Systems on Energy Reduction and Sustainability Initiatives in Some Selected Sydney Hotels, at the International Conference of Contemporary Affairs in Architecture and Urbanism in May 2025 in Turkey (Rosselle will present online). Rosselle developed this project in PRJ6001 Applied Project in Trimester 2 2024.

Together with Dr Rahman and Associate Professor Michelle Cavaleri, ECA HE’s Dean (Academic), Rossell has also now published a paper for her research project – Assessing the Impact of Integrated Building Management Systems on Energy Reduction and Sustainability Initiatives in a Selected Sydney Hotel.

Mr King has extensive experience in finance and management consulting including having held executive positions in major and regional banks. He is currently the Chief Risk Officer at IMB Bank. Over many years, Mr King has worked with Boards business strategy, governance, risk management, business transformation, organisational resilience and regulatory change.

Mr King holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) from Monash University. He is Certified Practicing Accountant and a graduate of the AICD. He is currently a Director of the Armidale Diocese Investment Group and a member of the Stewardship Commission of the Sisters of St Joseph.

Kirsti Nunn has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Kirsti serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the Education Centre of Australia since August 2022. From October 2019 to August 2022, Kirsti worked as the CFO/COO at The Peninsula Montessori Association Ltd (PMAL), where she successfully developed and implemented a strategic plan to navigate the challenges of COVID-19, resulting in increased profit and student enrolments.

Kirsti’s previous roles include serving as the Financial Controller, Retirement Villages at Aveo Group from November 2015 to June 2019, where she provided financial strategic direction to 95 retirement communities and managed a large team across multiple states. Prior to that, she worked as a Senior Finance Manager – Decision Support & Financial Planning at UNSW Australia from June 2013 to November 2015, leading strategic projects and managing multidisciplinary teams. Kirsti’s earlier experiences include roles in large public companies such as Stockland and Westfield where she worked as senior finance manager across finance projects and large full function finance departments.

Throughout her career, Kirsti has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, change management, and financial management skills.

Kirsti has an extensive education history, demonstrating a dedication to furthering her knowledge and expertise in various fields. Kirsti is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at University of New England and will complete the degree in 2026. Prior to this, Kirsti obtained a Master’s degree in Fraud and Financial Crime from Charles Sturt University specializing in Financial Forensics and Fraud Investigation, a Master’s degree in Accounting from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Macquarie University, with a specialization in Business/Managerial Economics. She became a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) through CPA Australia in 2001 and is now a Fellow of CPA Australia.

DHSM, MHM, BNurs, DipAppSc (Nursing Mgt), RN, EM, FCHSE, FGLF

Professor Day graduated as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. He obtained a post registration Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1991. Following a clinical career that included midwifery, operating theatre, acute surgical and aged care, he moved into acute hospital management and worked in both Queensland and New South Wales. He obtained his Master of Health Management degree from the University of New England in 1999.

From 2005 – 2008, Professor Day was responsible for leading the development of innovative health leadership programs for both middle managers and executives for Queensland Health. Professor Day has had diverse operational roles both in Australia and internationally. He has worked as a Chief Executive Officer, Director of Clinical Services, Director of Nursing, Major Projects Manager, Director of Workforce Development in the South Australian Department of Health, Director of Leadership and Development in the South Australian Department for Education and Child Development, Director of Clinical Education, Training and Research, and Chief Quality and Safety Officer.

From an academic perspective, he has been Discipline Lead for Health Services Management at Griffith University, Deputy Head of School – Academic and International in the Griffith University School of Nursing and Midwifery, Professor of Health Services Management in the Griffith University School of Medicine and Visiting Professor in the College of Health Management and Economics at Gulf Medical University.
Internationally, Professor Day has taught in Singapore, Hong Kong and in the UAE. He has conducted health consultancies in Australia, China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

Professor Day obtained his Doctor of Health Services Management Degree from the University of New England in 2005. His research focused on the morale of Registered Nurses in Queensland. He has a track record of over 60 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. He is currently updating the 2nd edition of his co-authored text “Leading and Managing Health Services- An Australasian Perspective. Professor Day has co-authored the text “Healthcare in the Arabian Gulf and Greater Middle East – A Guide for Healthcare Professionals” which is due out in late 2023.

Away from work, Professor Day loves traveling with his wife, working on his 54-year old wooden boat and playing guitar.

Dr Seah is an experienced and active educator with a strong background in the VET and higher education sectors. Dr Seah has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Management)y, a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Computer Engineering) and a PhD.

His skills include training, course leading, academic coordination, and management. Dr Seah is a data analyst and have a proven track record of working in higher education for research in commercial projects and research training and has experience in using various data analysis software such as Atlas.ti and SPSS. He has research interest in education using ICT. Dr Seah also has a wealth of experience in project management, accounting and investment administration and management.

Outside of his professional work, he works part-time as a groundsman in a community centre to stay active and enjoy the outdoors.

Ms Gao has Bachelors degree in International Business, a Master’s degree in commerce (accounting major) from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education and a distinguished achievement in the CPA Australia program. She has academic experience for more than 18 years with corporate experience for working as an accountant for about 4 years. Her expertise is in financial accounting, management accounting and financial statement analysis and accounting for decision making.

Dr R. Tabes has a PhD in marketing, a master’s degree in industrial management, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education by Victoria University, Melbourne. Dr R. Tabes PhD in Marketing titled Green Supply Chain Antecedents, Practices, and Firm Performance in the Australian Food Industry was awarded at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia in October 2019.

Dr R. Tabes started her academic career at Curtin University and moved to Sydney in 2018, where she worked as a lecturer at Federation University (MIT Sydney) and Victoria University (ECA) Sydney, as well as Crown Institute. She is now a key academic at APIC in Melbourne. Throughout her teaching career, she has taught a variety of courses from Bachelor to Master level including communication and technology, information and communication management, project management, project stakeholder management, and marketing management.

Dr R. Tabes supervised 38 master’s students in their theses, and has extensive experience in all aspects of higher education. Dr R. Tabes provides continuous assistance to students throughout their academic journey.

Dr Gowan is a highly accomplished higher education academic with over 21 years of experience in education and management. Dr Gowan received a PhD in Management from Western Sydney University and has an MBA with specialisation in Human Resource Management, and a Master of Information Systems from the University of Ballarat. She received a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education from Federation University and a Graduate Certificate in Research from Western Sydney University. Dr Gowan has highly developed expertise in team leadership, curriculum development and design; with extensive experience in lecturing, guiding, and supporting domestic and international students. Her research interests include student development and belonging, environmental concerns, principles of responsible business and education, diversity and inclusiveness, and emotional labour. In early 2023, Emerald Publications released Dr Gowan’s book, “The Ethnically Diverse Workplace,” which is expected to make a significant contribution to the field of higher education.

Dr Singh is a certified Microsoft ICT and Cyber Security Lecturer and works at APIC in Melbourne. He has had many roles in Higher Education course development and teaching over more than 12 years. He has exceptional technical and industry experience in some of the leading organizations of Australia including Telstra, KPMG and Wilson. He brings significant knowledge of both industry and academic skills key the industry, which he shares in educating his students.

Dr Singh is an experienced with proven results in achieving organisational goals and objectives. He has extensive experience in Higher Education course development, compliance and course accreditation, governance oversight. He has worked with many organisations including local governments, banks, and various industrial companies. His specialisation fields are Image Processing, Business Integration, Computer Vision, Software Engineering and Computer Networks. He has been actively engaged with research work, and my research work has led to many research publications including peer – reviewed indexed journals and conference publications.

Dr Kavita Bhanwala is an accomplished academic and legal practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the fields of legal education and practice. Her research and teaching interests are informed by her extensive experience in commercial, criminal, and corporate law, which has seen her handle complex legal matters, offering her a well-rounded perspective on the legal landscape. Her career in legal practice has involved advising on and representing clients in intricate commercial disputes, corporate transactions, and criminal matters, all of which have contributed to her expertise in stakeholder management, risk analysis, and strategic decision-making. As an academician, Dr Bhanwala is committed to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment, where students are encouraged to critically analyze and engage with legal principles while understanding their practical applications in real-world contexts. Dr Bhanwala also possesses a strong focus on leadership, collaboration, and team development, drawing from her experience in managing diverse teams and projects within both academic and professional settings. Her commitment to academic excellence is reflected in her ongoing research contributions and her ability to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Dr Sisombat has a Bachelor of Business Marketing, a Master in International Business/Trade, a Doctor of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education from Victoria University. Dr Sisombat has significant experience teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at private and public universities and at the TAFE level. Dr Sisombat’s teaching areas are information systems, economics, marketing, business administration, international business, management, and project management.

Dr Faaliyat is a highly qualified professional with extensive expertise in multiple fields.

Dr Faaliyat has a PhD and MBA and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Dr Faaliyat has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Law as well as Employment Relations courses and has over 10 years of experience in higher education, both as a dedicated researcher and as an academic

Dr Faaliyat is actively engaged in research, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion policies and practices pertaining to both migrant and non-migrant workers. Furthermore, she has a keen interest in exploring student learning and engagement, as well as online teaching methodologies.

Throughout her professional journey, Dr Faaliyat has gained invaluable experience working in both the public and private sectors, including roles within mining and investment consulting firms. Outside of her professional commitments, she has also dedicated time as a volunteer, collaborating with diverse businesses.

Dr Khanal is a Senior Lecturer at ECA Higher Education Institute. Prior to this, he served as the Director of Undergraduate Studies at Asia Pacific International College (APIC). He also served as the Chair of Research Coordinating Group at APIC and member of APIC Teaching & Learning Committee. He currently serves as a member for ECA Higher Education Institute Scholarship & Research Committee.  He is also a coordinator for Project Management, Built Environment and  Engineering (PBE ) Research Group at ECA Higher Education Institute. 

Dr Khanal has more than 20 years of experience in higher education teaching, research and management. He has worked at various institutions across the globe in a variety of educational settings and brings with him a diverse international experience of teaching and research. Dr Khanal obtained his PhD from the University of Sydney and master’s degree from Southern Illinois University, USA.  Dr Khanal is an active researcher with publication in A and A* journals. His current research interests are in the areas of curriculum & pedagogy, classroom experience, use of technology in teaching & learning and built environment & design.

Dr Roomina has more than 20 years of commercial experience to design and analyse engineering applications using advanced mathematical techniques such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

He has been involved in numerous consultancy projects and analyzing broad range of engineering applications for CSIRO, building services, automotive, defense industries, consulting companies and research/educational organisation. Dr Roomina has been teaching a wide range of subjects at the tertiary level for more than 15 years. He currently holds Senior Lecturer position at ECA Higher Education Institute.

Ms Lovece has worked in the education sector for over 35 years both locally and internationally. She has experience in teaching, teacher training, coursebook writing and curriculum development, including large-scale education solutions. She has led teams as a manager and Academic Director and has over 15 years experience in the development of digital learning environments and the digital transformation of education providers.

Dr Alam is a lecturer and the Course Coordinator for the BBIS and BIT programs at Asia Pacific International College (APIC) in Melbourne, Australia. He possesses an extensive academic background, having earned a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technology from Osaka City University, Japan, in 2004. Additionally, he holds a BSc (Honours) and an MSc (Research) from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he achieved first class first positions in both degrees in 1989 and 1991, respectively.
Dr Alam brings over 30 years of teaching experience across several countries, including Bangladesh, Japan, Malaysia, and Australia. His areas of expertise encompass Information Technology and Project Management. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. and Masters students and has published more than forty journal papers and conference proceedings. Throughout his career, he has been honoured with multiple teaching excellence awards.

Ms Goebel is a former teacher and has worked in the Higher Education industry for almost 20 years. She has held a variety of different roles including Faculty Management, Student Engagement, Course Coordination and Academic Operations at Navitas, Kaplan and APIC. Ms Goebel has a Master of Education with Merit (Educational Leadership) from the University of Sydney  and is currently completing a Doctor of Education at UNSW where she is looking at supporting gifted students with ADHD in the classroom. She is passionate about students’ wellbeing and engagement and helping them achieve their goals.

As a lifelong learner, Ms Taylor has cultivated her experience in libraries with several degrees over several decades.  She has held positions at a variety of institutions, from the Art Gallery of NSW to TAFE, National Parks & Wildlife, and the Federal Court of Australia. This broad experience ensures her knowledge is forever expanding, allowing her to give ECA-HE Staff and students the best possible Library experience for every possible scenario. Every day is a challenge, and Ms Taylor always tries anything once to meet that challenge and grow from it.

Ms Perry is the Learning and Teaching Support Manager here at ECA. She has worked in various education roles supporting students in Australia, the UK, Turkey and South Korea. She specialises in developing resources and approaches to support international students and adults new to higher education. Fiona draws on students’ strengths to help them achieve their academic goals. She facilitates one-on-one sessions, presents webinars, develops resources and collaborates with academic staff to support students to develop study skills and academic and digital literacies. She covers topics such as time management, academic reading and writing, critical and reflective thinking, exam preparation, understanding and applying feedback and learning how to best approach assessments.

She has experience working with several disciplines including Business, IT, Education, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling, Social Work, Criminology and Coaching.

Dr Katis is an experienced academic with over 15 years of experience in the Management discipline as a lecturer at various universities across Australia. Abeer received twenty (20) awards for teaching and research excellence from different Australian Universities. She has been recognized nationally as one out of five finalists for the prestigious 2019 Australian Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards in the category of Emerging Female Leader in the Government and Public Sector. Ms Shifrina is an experienced education leader, having worked in private Higher Education in Australia for the last 15 years. Her main areas of expertise lie in student recruitment (both domestic and international), admissions, compliance, student experience and service, and overall student journey from enquiry until graduation. Ms Shifrina is passionate about providing outstanding service and support for international students, with a particular interest in student wellbeing.

At ECA, Ms Shifrina is involved in all operational areas supporting and promoting student experience, and student engagement.

Professor Day has extensive leadership and management experience in several large universities in Australia and New Zealand, including as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) at Massey University in NZ and Executive Dean at Macquarie and the University of Southern Queensland.

Her key strengths include managing across breadth, building strong teams with a shared focus across multiple areas and interests, and liaising effectively with internal and external individuals and groups. She was the inaugural chair of the South Australian Premier’s Council for Women. Associate Professor Bilgin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Macquarie University. She is the President of the International Association for Statistical Education (IASE) and an elected Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). Ayse’s research explores applications of statistics in health sciences and learning and teaching in statistics.

Associate Professor Bilgin was a recipient of several learning and teaching awards for her outstanding contributions to student learning such as an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Citation for ‘Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning’, a Macquarie University VC Citation, ATEM Award Community Engagement (Highly Commended); Higher Education Award for Employability; joint-recipient of Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT). Her pedagogical research interests are focused on statistics education, such as learning approaches in statistics, work integrated learning in statistics, impact of learning spaces to students’ learning. She was awarded “Excellence in research: Five Future-shaping Priorities (Healthy People)” by Macquarie University and she was a member of research team which were the finalist of the Eureka Prize in 2017.

Dr Dickson commenced his professional career as a physical education teacher, then further education led him to an academic role at the University of New England in Armidale (1991-2004) where he completed his PhD in the development and assessment of occupational competencies and used elite soccer referees as a case study. Dr Dickson assumed the role of Dean at the Australian College of Physical Education in 2004 where he facilitated an expansion of their program offerings, diversifying delivery methods and improved the quality of the institution through numerous academic initiatives.

In 2012 Dr Dickson was appointed as Dean at The Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and was responsible for leading multiple business units that comprised of Navitas Professional Institutes such as ACAP, the Navitas College of Public Safety and Health Skills Australia. During his tenure at Navitas, Dr Dickson led a series of successful course accreditation and registration processes culminating in NPI being awarded self-accrediting authority in March 2017.

During his academic career, he has led research projects for many national sporting organisations and departments of education; served on numerous national and state-based committees, and most recently served on a Federal Government’s QILT committee charged with overseeing the introduction of quality indicators in high education.

Beyond his work, Scott is an avid sportsman. Whilst having been active in soccer and cricket for many years, he now is a keen cyclist. Over 20 years, Dr Khalifa led multidisciplinary healthcare and information technology teams to develop and implement evidence-based solutions to direct healthcare strategy and operations of healthcare services. Using health analytics and business intelligence, Dr Khalifa led diverse projects, enhancing patient safety, healthcare effectiveness, efficiency, and timeliness. Over the last 10 years, Dr Khalifa published +50 journal papers and book chapters and was granted an innovation patent from IP Australia in 2018.

Before joining CHS, Dr Khalifa served as the Digital Health Officer of the Australian Digital Health Agency and as Researcher and Consultant of Healthcare Strategy and Analytics at Macquarie University, Sydney. Dr Khalifa was the Director of Healthcare Strategy and Performance Improvement at King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Saudi Arabia. Professor Dawn Bennett is a higher education consultant engaged in governance work and academic development, employability development initiatives, reviews, and policy work. She is an honorary professor with Bond and Curtin universities, a senior advisor with Outside Opinion, Deputy Chair of Academic Board with SAE Institute, and an Academic Board member with the Higher Education Leadership Institute. Professor Bennett was previously Assistant Provost and Director of the Transformation CoLab with Bond University. Dr Pandya’s disciplinary expertise is in Mergers and Acquisition, Advanced Accounting and behavioural Finance.. Apart from teaching and research expertise in Finance, business management and accounting, Dr Pandya has wide experience in academic administration, teaching and learning, and quality assurance that enhance standard of education. He has also successfully developed and managed diploma courses at VET level in India. He had huge contribution in expansion of institution and converting it in to private university. Dr Pandya is an active researcher and involved in research and publication for APIC.

Dr Pandya holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Master degree in business management with dual specialization in Marketing and Finance. He poses membership of CPA, Australia.

Dr Tran has been a lecturer and educator in higher education since 2005. With her background in Applied Science, she taught Science subjects to undergraduate students until discovering her interest and passion in working with international students, especially those from countries where English is learnt as a foreign language (EFL) or second language (ESL). As a former international student in Melbourne herself, she shares a sincere sympathy and deep understanding with international students, who are away from their homes and beloved, and working hard every day to overcome challenges on their own. Since then, Kate has been teaching and coaching international students to become job-ready through developing their academic and professional skills.

Dr Tran joined APIC in February 2016 and since then has taken various roles within the academic enhancement capacities. Her main focus at APIC has been facilitating student development of language, academic, research and professional skills. This involves creating academic enhancement resources, delivering academic and research skill workshops and webinars, and providing one-on-one and group consultations to students. She also focuses on facilitating students’ academic integrity in their study and research. She also works closely with teaching staff to embed academic and professional skills in course delivery and facilitates staff professional development.

Dr Tran enjoys her work at a private College like APIC where she has more chances to get to know students and their stories, thus can provide more practical coaching and relevant support. Her favourite proverb is “Teachers are like ferrymen, diligently helping students cross the ocean to reach their future”. Her hope is that her students once graduated are ready for their journeys ahead and always remain passionate with their chosen profession.

Associate Professor Ahmad Saedisomeolia currently holds a position at the Higher Education College of Health Sciences, Education Centre of Australia (Higher Education). Additionally, he serves on the Academic Promotion Committee, ECA Academic Board, and CHS Course Advisory Committee. Moreover, the School of Human Nutrition, McGill University, Canada, has appointed Dr. Saedisomeolia to “Research Scientist Affiliate” since 2024.

Previously, Dr. Saedisomeolia worked as a Senior Researcher/Lecturer at the School of Human Nutrition, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, from 2021 to 2023. He earned his PhD in Nutrition from the University of Newcastle, Australia, in 2008, with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in “Nutrition in Public Health” and “Nutrition Sciences and Dietetics”, respectively.

Between 2008 and 2020, Dr. Saedisomeolia held various faculty positions at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, including Full-Professor and head of Department of Cellular and Molecular Nutrition, and Vice-Dean for Education. During this time, he also worked as a Research Fellow at the School of Medicine, Western Sydney University, and as a Research Affiliate with the University of Sydney from 2014 to 2015.

Dr. Saedisomeolia has an impressive professional portfolio with 98 publications primarily featured in leading journals, maintaining an H-index of 29 and accumulating over 3500 hours of lecturing experience. He has also collaborated with industry organizations, serving as a Nutrition Expert for the European Union and Scientific Chair for International Conferences on “Functional Foods and Healthy Supplements,” hosted by Merck Company in Dubai in 2017 and 2018.

Associate Professor Al-Jerew is the BBIS course coordinator and lecturer. He has over 12 years of teaching experience in the field of Information Technology, Software Science and Networking. He Joined APIC as a full-time lecturer in February 2017. He is also an active researcher in the area of networking and telecommunication, ad hoc networks, sensor networks and network security.

Associate Professor Al-Jerew completed his bachelor’s degree in control and computer engineering from the University of Technology-Iraq in 1997, he completed his Master of Computer Engineering from the University of Technology in 2000. In 2012, he completed his PhD in the area of wireless sensor networks from the school of engineering and computer science at the Australian National University (ANU). Prior joining APIC, Oday worked as a lecturer and assistant head of the Computing Department at the Middle East College (MEC)-Oman. He also worked as sessional lecturer at La Trobe university, Victoria University, University of Western Sydney, Melbourne Institute of Technology, and University of Canberra teaching ICT subjects. Associate Professor Al-Jerew was also full-time lecturer at the department of Information Technology at the University of Technology in Iraq. He was also involved in many industrial projects and gains extensive industrial experience during his worked at several industrial companies. He worked as software and systems developer at the AusRobot company to develop embedded programs for mobile robots. In addition, he designed and developed microcomputer-based systems during he worked at the General Electrical Company in Iraq. He also holds technical certifications in computer networking from Cisco Networking Academy and Microsoft.

Associate Professor Al-Jerew has taught many postgraduate and undergraduate subjects in different universities and colleges in Australia and overseas and successfully supervised several research students. He has published journal articles and conference papers and has been member in numerous conferences.

Dr Kaleem has more than twenty years of teaching experience in the Higher Education sector. He is currently serving APIC in the capacity of Head of Discipline (Project Management). Previously, he has served on various leadership positions such as Dean of Business School, Head of Department and member of various senior level committees.

Dr Kaleem hold his PhD in Finance from the University of Malaya, Malaysia and MSc in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading, UK. He holds full memberships of CPA (Australia), CIMA (UK) and CGMA (International). Dr Kaleem normally teaches Accounting, Finance and Project Management courses and has authored more than thirty research papers and two books of high impact during his career.

BA Hons (Languages and Linguistics); MA (TESOL); PhD (Applied Linguistics)

Associate Professor Cavaleri has a background in languages, linguistics, academic literacy and TESOL and she has worked in both teaching and specialist learning support roles. Prior to joining ECA, Associate Professor Cavaleri worked as a lecturer in teaching methodology and curriculum design at Western Sydney University and as the Manager of English Language Proficiency and Learning Support at Navitas. She has taught a range of students including undergraduate, postgraduate, domestic, international and online students and is passionate about helping students develop their academic skills and reach their educational goals.

Associate Professor Cavaleri’s teaching experience ignited her interest in feedback and academic writing development, which led to her PhD research examining technology-mediated feedback. Her research investigated the effect of different modes of feedback given to first-year undergraduate students and the variables that affect students’ uptake of teachers’ feedback, such as level of English language proficiency. She completed her PhD at western Sydney University and was awarded the Australian Postgraduate Award. Associate Professor Cavaleri has presented her research at national and international conferences and has been invited to facilitate faculty development sessions at a number of Australian universities. Michelle’s current research areas of interest include feedback literacy, academic writing development and supporting first-year students.

Associate Professor Cavaleri holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, a Masters in TESOL and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Languages and Linguistics from Western Sydney University.

Emeritus Professor Duncan is a Microbial Ecologist by training, who was educated at Otago University in New Zealand, La Trobe University, and Monash University. She has completed a Senior Executive Management course at Harvard University as well as the Director’s course and the Advanced Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She worked sixteen years at CSIRO, initially as a research scientist and later in science management. As the Chief of CSIRO Molecular Science for six years, she supervised the spin-off of six start-up companies.

From 2005–2007 she was Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Bio21 Institute at the University of Melbourne. From 2007–2010 she was the Executive Director, Science Collaboration at the Biosciences Research Centre, a joint venture between La Trobe University and the Victorian Department of Primary Industries.

Emeritus Professor Duncan has acted as an adviser to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on biological weapons control and in this capacity represented Australia at international arms control meetings. She was awarded a Public Service Medal in 1996 and an Honorary DSc from Murdoch University in 2005 for her work in arms control. She has also served as a biological weapons inspector with the United Nations in Iraq.

In 2019 she was awarded an Honorary DSc from La Trobe University for achievements in academia and contributions to science.

Emeritus Professor Duncan joined the University of New England in late 2010, initially as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research). She later became the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and in late 2014 was appointed the Vice-Chancellor, serving in this role until mid-2019.

She currently serves as a non-executive director on boards and chairs the NSW Physical Sciences Fund.

Professor Kramar is an experienced senior academic with an international reputation in the field of human resource management. She was Professor of Human Resource Management at the Australian Catholic University from 2011-2016 and is currently adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame, visiting Professor at the University of Ghent, and a member of the Academic Board and Governing Council of Sydney Metropolitan Institute of Technology.

Professor Kramar also serves on the Advisory Research Panel of the Australian Institute of Human Resource Management. Professor Kramar has had extensive experience in course development at the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Professor Kramar has also held visiting Professorial roles at the IGR University of Rennes, France and the Cranfield Business School, UK. In addition, she has extensive research experience, publications and teaching experience, Professor Kramar has been actively engaged in the professional community as a journal editor, editorial board member and member of the Advisory Panel on Research for the Australian Human Resources Institute.

Professor Kramar has also provided consulting services to the Department of Human Services, the Reserve Bank, CCH Pty Ltd, Kent Institute, the Department of Small Business, the Department of Industrial Relations, OSR Consulting, the Department of Environment and Heritage, and the NSW Department of Industrial Relations.

Emeritus Professor Downes has worked with universities, educational systems, and schools, for nearly 40 years. She is a highly experienced senior educational leader, having had long term leadership roles at two universities.

In 2018 she retired from the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic at Charles Sturt University, having also served as an Executive Dean in earlier years. In her senior executive roles in higher education, she has demonstrated ability at the organisational and sector levels in strategic planning, governance, change management, financial management, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement, particularly with governments, professions, and Indigenous organisations and communities.

Emeritus Professor Downes professional and research interests focus on improved educational outcomes in universities and schools in the effective use of digital technologies, in gender and technology, and in teacher education policy and practice.

Her work included numerous research and professional projects, over 70 publications, international and national professional presentations and workshops and over $1 million in grants and consultancies. She has been a keynote or distinguished speaker at international conferences in New Zealand, USA, England, Switzerland, Hungary, PNG, Thailand, Hong Kong, Wales, China, Finland and Norway.

She currently serves as a non-executive director on a number of boards, as a member of academic boards and advisory committees, and as an external consultant and reviewer of educational programs and organisational units.

Emeritus Professor Reid is Emeritus Professor of Education at Charles Sturt University. Prior to her retirement in 2018, she served as the Presiding Officer of the CSU Academic Senate, Associate Dean Teacher Education, and Head of the School of Teacher Education. She completed her professional qualifications at the University of Queensland and her PhD at Deakin University. After teaching with the Education Department of WA she worked casually at the University of Western Australia, Murdoch, Deakin, and Monash Universities while completing her doctorate, and then at the Universities of Ballarat and New England as a full time academic prior to joining Charles Sturt in 2002.

Emeritus Professor Reid remains active as a researcher and publisher, and over her career has won a range of ARC and other National Competitive Grants focussed on literacy and English teaching, teacher education, Indigenous and overseas-born teachers, as well as rural teacher education. She has been co-editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education and has recently been appointed to the editorial board of this journal. She is a past president of the NSW Council of Deans of Education, the Australian Teacher Education Association, and the Australian Association for Research in Education.

Emeritus Professor Reid has a keen interest in university governance and has led external review processes at the Course, School, Faculty, and Academic Board level across a range of Australian institutions.

Adjunct Professor Robertson is an experienced academic with over 25 years experience in higher education. Adjunct Professor Robertson was the Dean of the School of Nursing, Sydney at the University of Notre Dame(UNDA) and prior to this the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching. During her time in the School of Nursing she led both undergraduate and post graduate curriculum development, led the expansion of post graduate programs and engaged with industry partners to develop industry based graduate certificate programs. She has previously worked at a non self-accrediting higher education provider where she was responsible for program development and both internal and external accreditation.

Adjunct Professor Robertson has extensive experience in learning and teaching, curriculum development and stakeholder engagement. At UNDA she served on Academic Council, was the Chair of the Educational Technology Advisory group and the Chair of the University Learning and Teaching committee.

Adjunct Professor Robertson is passionate about nursing and education and has a keen interest in learning and teaching, curriculum development, standards and accreditation.

Dr Al-Dala’in is an expert in Data Mining, Database, software development and has been teaching at Western Sydney University, Charles Sturt University, University of Technology Sydney and the University of New England before joing APIC in 2021.
He completed his PhD in Information Technologies at The University of Newcastle in 2011.

Dr Costadopoulos specialises in a number of discipline areas including web/multimedia technologies, information systems, computer security, and cyber ethics. In addition to teaching Dr Costadopoulos is a consultant in the area of web/e-commerce technology and has been involved in operating several e-business websites. This ‘hands-on’ expertise is incorporated in his overall teaching strategy to enrich student learning.

His qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in communications majoring in multimedia, a Master of Technology degree majoring in Information Systems Engineering, a Master of Computing Research, currently, Nectar is completing his Ph.D. in Data Science.

Dr M. (Mohammad) Ashiqur Rahman is an Australian academic and environmental management specialist with over 25 years of experience in higher education, research, and professional practice. He currently serves as Senior Lecturer in the Master of Project Management and Business program at Asia Pacific International College (APIC), under the Education Centre of Australia. Dr Rahman holds a PhD in River Pollution Management from The University of Sydney, supported by the prestigious Australian Leadership Award. He also earned a Master of Environmental Management and Development degree from The Australian National University, where he received the Tiri Tiri Prize for academic excellence, and completed his earlier engineering qualifications at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). At APIC, he coordinates major capstone and research-focused units, including PRJ6001 Applied Projects, managing large cohorts across multiple campuses and mentoring academic staff to ensure consistent supervision, marking, and moderation standards. His teaching is research-led, practice-oriented, and aligned with AQF requirements, consistently achieving outstanding student evaluation results and formal commendations for teaching excellence. Besides his teaching commitment at APIC, Dr Rahman has also been serving as Subject Convenor in Civil Engineering at Western Sydney University-Sydney City Campus. Dr Rahman’s research spans project management, sustainability, water resource management, climate change, and environmental governance. He has published widely in international journals and conference proceedings and has presented research across Australia, Asia, Europe, and the USA. He actively supervises higher degree research students and has mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, with several resulting in peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Ashiq worked for the USA Government as a Project Management Specialist and managed EIA tasks for development projects of yearly portfolio of $200 million in Bangladesh. Beyond teaching and research, Dr Rahman contributes significantly to academic leadership and service. He serves on the Academic Board at ECA, supports curriculum development and quality assurance processes, and engages in national and international academic collaborations, including invited postgraduate teaching at James Cook University. His career reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship, student success, industry engagement, and institutional advancement at local and global levels.

For over 25 years Professor Ryan has been actively involved with a number of tertiary education providers, specialising in the areas of regulatory approvals, quality assurance, and corporate and academic governance.

In 2015 Professor Ryan established HELI as a new education enterprise aimed at fulfilling a niche role in the independent higher education sector through the delivery of global best-practice advisory services and professional development to independent higher education providers.

As well as being a director of HELI, Professor Ryan is also Chair of the Board of Directors of two of Australia’s largest private higher education providers: Australian College of Applied Professions and SAE Institute, as well as Director and Treasurer of the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE), an international accreditation body.

Dr Ding has been a teacher and lecturer in Marketing and Supply Chain Management since 2010.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Shanxi University and her Master of Business (Logistics Management) at RMIT before completing a PhD.

Prior to her academic career, she worked for Thales Group and was responsible for logistics coordination and marketing and human resource management and worked in project management for Baosteel Group.

She published more than ten international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters. Her research interests include international marketing, marketing channels, network marketing, supply chain competencies, E business, HR management, project and entrepreneurship etc.

Emeritus Professor Cummins has extensive experience in educational leadership and governance and has served on several incorporated and advisory Boards including the ACT Board of Studies, The Australian Catholic University Senate Limited, Marymead Child and Family Services Limited, Marist Youth Care Limited, St Edmunds’ College Canberra Limited, the Council of St Ignatius College Riverview Limited and Sydney College of Divinity Limited.

From 2009 to 2018 she served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Learning and Teaching) at the Australian Catholic University and before that as Dean of Students at the Australian Catholic University in 2008 and 2009.

Emeritus Professor Cummins worked for many years in the Catholic secondary education system as a teacher and secondary college principal in New South Wales and the ACT. She is currently a Director of Catholic Schools NSW Limited, the Chair and Director of Catholic Employment Relations Limited, The Chair of the Stewardship Commission of the Sisters of St Joseph.

Associate Professor Bezen is an Associate Professor in Computational Mathematics and has taught mathematics, statistics and various IT subjects at the University of Melbourne, Monash University, La Trobe University and RMIT before joining APIC in 2016.
He completed a Bachelor of Pure and Applied Mathematics and later gained a PhD in Mathematics. Associate Professor Bezen has been heavily involved in consulting in the areas of software development, mathematics, statistics and machine learning.

Associate Professor Alsadoon received her Ph.D. from the University of Technology, Baghdad. She published more than 140 papers in A and B ranking journals, and has more than 100 conference papers published in different peer review IEEE conferences, and she has received four (4) best paper awards. She edited an Emerging Trends in Cybersecurity Applications, Cutting Edge Applications of Computational Intelligence Tools and Techniques, and Current and Future Trends in Health and Medical Informatics books published by Springer. Abeer received twenty (20) awards for teaching and research excellence from different Australian Universities. She has been recognized nationally as one out of five finalists for the prestigious 2019 Australian Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards in the category of Emerging Female Leader in the Government and Public Sector.
