Library and Learning Support
Library
All APIC students have access to the ECA Library and its comprehensive range of online information resources, including databases, e-books, journals, newspapers, and videos. All prescribed texts are available electronically through the ECA Library to ensure texts are accessible to all students.
The ECA Library has established physical libraries on the Sydney and Melbourne campuses, offering a comfortable and welcoming place to study. Each library features areas for group and individual study, desktop computers with internet access and necessary software, as well as photocopiers for printing, copying, and scanning.
Qualified library staff are available on each campus to assist students with their research. They offer in-class training sessions and individual consultations either in-person or via video conference to help students navigate the library resources effectively.
The Library and Learning Support website is available to students throughout their course. It contains subject guides and information on research skills, referencing, information literacy, and copyright.
Learning Support
Qualified and experienced Learning Support staff are available to assist APIC students across all campus locations and delivery modes. Our Learning Support Advisors can help students with various aspects of academic skill development, including:
- Developing study and time management plans
- Understanding assessment tasks
- Developing academic writing skills
- Thinking and writing critically
- Researching and referencing accurately
- Reading and taking notes effectively
The Learning Support Team offers workshops and webinars on academic skills during Orientation and throughout the semester. Our Learning Advisors frequently deliver in-class support sessions in collaboration with teaching staff to embed academic skills development in units and scaffold assessment tasks. The team also hosts drop-in events throughout each teaching period where students can connect with Learning Advisors informally and pick up some resources (and a snack!)
Students can book an individual consultation with a Learning Advisor either in-person or via video conference and may request feedback on draft assessments. Additionally, students can access a suite of online written and video resources on the Library and Learning Support website covering topics such as reading and notetaking, assignment preparation, referencing, and academic integrity.

Pathway and Block Credit Packages
Pathway
Asia Pacific International College develops articulation agreements with other Australian higher education providers and universities. These provide graduates of APIC and other providers access to further study pathways with APIC and with other providers. Some of these pathways also award credit for learning already undertaken.
Further details on credit awarded for the current pathways can be found at the link below:
Credit Transfer ECA College - PostgraduateCredit Transfer ECA College - Undergraduate
Block Credit Packages
APIC has adopted a ‘block credit’ model for awarding credit into APIC’s undergraduate programs based upon completed and nationally approved/registered vocational qualifications. The Block Credit Package (BCP) at APIC applies to Training Packages.
The list of approved BCPs are detailed in the link below:
Statement of Tuition Assurance
Tuition assurance protects students in the event a course of study provided by an accredited Institute of Higher Education ceases to be provided after it starts but before it is completed.
As an approved Institute of Higher Education under the Higher Education Support Act 2003, Asia Pacific International College (ABN: 48 061 101 488; CRICOS Provider No. 03048D) is required to comply with the Higher Education Standards Framework which ensures tuition assurance protection is provided to students.
If a course of study ceases to be offered at APIC, the College will work with affected students to identify a replacement course and will work with those students to be placed with a second provider.
Replacement courses must meet the following requirements:the course must lead to the same or comparable qualification as the original course;the mode of delivery of the replacement course must be the same as or, with the student’s consent, similar to the mode of delivery for the original course;the location where the replacement course is primarily delivered must be reasonable, having regard to the costs of, and the time required for, a student’s travel; and the student will not incur additional fees that are unreasonable and will be able to attend the replacement course without unreasonable impacts on the student’s prior commitments.
A student who accepts the replacement course offered will not be required to pay the second provider for the replacement components of the replacement course. It should be noted that the fees for the remainder of the replacement course may be different to the proposed fees in the original course.
The student will receive an academic transcript with completed units in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Each affected student will have a nominated period in which to accept the replacement course offer and, for international students studying on a student visa, this may affect their student visa.
APIC will consider applications for refund of the affected units of study as soon as practicable and notify those students of the decision regarding their application, together with a statement of reasons for the decision.
Record Keeping by Students It is recommended that students keep any records of their enrolment, academic transcript and any copies of completed assessments. These records may assist students to transfer to an equivalent course of study with another provider or provide recognition of the units they have completed.
