Dr. Jean Marie Ip-Soo-Ching

Dr. Jean Marie Ip-Soo-Ching lectured in Marketing, Management, Information Systems and Tourism at Monash University, Swinburne University of Technology, La Trobe University, Melbourne Institute of Technology, Cambridge International College, Kent Institute and Asia Pacific International College, from 2006 to 2022. Dr. Ip-Soo-Ching taught extensively at partner universities for Swinburne University of Technology and La Trobe University in China and Vietnam from 2008 to 2011. As Head of Discipline at Cambridge International College, he developed curricula in Marketing and Management and implemented innovative teaching practices.

He was Associate Dean at Kent Institute and Academies Australasia (2018-2021) where he was responsible for teaching and learning strategies, the implementation of student experience programs, student retention, and articulations with many Higher Education Private Providers in Melbourne and Sydney.

Jean Marie Ip-Soo-Ching’s PhD in Knowledge Management titled The Salience of External Knowledge, Leadership and Action in the Knowledge Management Life Cycle of Nature-Based Tourism Operators was awarded at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia in October 2014.

Dr Ip-Soo-Ching’s research interests are Knowledge Management, Environmental Sustainability, Marketing, and pedagogy. His industry contact with leading sustainability firms includes Soneva Foundation, Sailaway Port Douglas, Club Med, and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
